Overview

Users can add tags to a candidate’s profile in iCIMS Text Engagement to reflect information about their skills, fit, experience level, location, etc.; these tags can be used to easily find and identify specific candidates.

There are two types of tags in iCIMS Text Engagement: user tags, such as Cashier, Full Time, or NYC, which are created and managed by system users; and system tags, such as NewCandidate or TextApply, which are generated automatically by the system itself and cannot be modified by system users.

The following sections of this article outline how a user can add and manage user tags:

Adding User Tags

The following steps outline adding new user tags from the iCIMS Text Engagement web application.
  1. From the dashboard, click the Tags tab on the sidebar to open the Tags page.
  2. Click the Add Tag button in the upper right corner of the Tags page.
  3. Enter a name for the tag (required). If desired, check the Include in Reports box to include the tag data in the Candidates report.
  • Notes:
    • There is a 100-character limit for tag names.
    • Some special characters are not supported and will be changed to an underscore upon saving the tag (e.g., TM symbol, emojis).
  1. Click Save to create the new user tag. After the tag is created, the tag details page displays.
From the tag details page, the user can add candidates to the new user tag. For more information, see the Tagging Multiple Candidate from the Tag Details Page section of this article.
