Overview
The candidate purging feature in iCIMS Marketing Automation allows customer admins to hard-delete or soft-delete a candidate profile. Soft deletion will preserve some personal data as well as contact preferences so that contact preferences are respected if a candidate is added back into the system. Hard deletion is irreversible and will permanently remove all candidate personal data. The steps to soft delete and hard delete a candidate profile in Marketing Automation are outlined in the sections below.
Soft Deleting a Candidate Profile:
Users can soft delete candidate profiles in Marketing Automation by following the steps below.
- Navigate to People > People.
- Select the toggles next to the names of candidates you want to soft delete.
- Select Delete. A confirmation popup displays. Select Yes to confirm soft deletion.
Once soft deletion is complete, the People page reloads and no longer displays the deleted candidates.
To hard delete a candidate, continue to the next section.
Hard Deleting a Candidate Profile:
Users can hard delete candidate profiles that have already been soft deleted using the steps below. For instructions on soft deleting candidates, review the
previous section.
Warning: This action is irreversible and will permanently remove a candidate’s personal data.
- Navigate to People > People.
- Select Quarantined to filter for candidates that were already soft deleted.
- Select the toggles next to the names of candidates you want to hard delete.
- Select Delete. A popup displays to confirm that you want to delete the selected candidates permanently. Select Yes to confirm hard deletion.
Once hard deletion is complete, the People page reloads the list of quarantined candidates and no longer displays the deleted candidates. To return to the list of active candidates, select
People > People from the main menu.
