Changing or Resetting Your Password: iCIMS Applicant Tracking Users

A number of iCIMS Talent Cloud products use the following password reset processes, including:

  • iCIMS Connect (Legacy CRM)
  • iCIMS Applicant Tracking (ATS)
  • iCIMS Offer Management
  • iCIMS Onboarding
 

Overview

Users can securely change or reset their passwords in two ways: through their organization's login page or through the Person profile Login tab in the system. (Access to the Person profile Login tab is dependent on user group permissions.) 

If necessary, user admins can also change passwords for other users by following the steps detailed in the Changing a Candidate or User Password as an iCIMS' Applicant Tracking User Admin Knowledge Base article.

 

    Resetting Your Password from the Login Page

    1. Navigate to your organization's login page and click the Forgot your Login or Password? link beneath the login box. The Forgot Your Password? screen displays.
    2. Input your email address in the Email Address field. (This must be the email address associated with your account.)
    3. Click Send Request. The original login screen displays, with the following alert: Information on resetting your password has been sent to the email address on file. If you do not receive an email within 5 minutes, please try again.
    4. If you have provided the correct email address, you will receive an email containing a password reset link. Click the link in the email to launch the secure Create New Password page. (This link will expire after 8 hours or after another password request is made for the same account.)
      • Tips: 
        • Check your spam folder if you cannot locate the email.
        • If the email address you provided is incorrect, you will receive an email informing you that your email address is not associated with a profile. Check your email address and then navigate back to the login page to try resetting your password again.
    5. Input and confirm your new password.
    6. Once you have successfully reset your password, return to the login page and enter your login and new password.
     

    Changing Your Password from Your Person Profile

    Note: Only certain user groups may be granted the permissions required to change a password from the Person profile. If you do not have these permissions, you must follow the steps provided in the Resetting Your Password from the Login Page section above.
    1. Log in to the system via your organization's dedicated login page using your login and password.
    2. Click the silhouette (or profile picture) in the upper right corner of the menu bar and click View Profile to navigate to your own profile in the system.
    3. On your personal profile, select the Login tab.
    4. Click the Edit icon.
    5. Enter your new password within the Password field. Enter it again in the Password (Re-enter) field to confirm.
    6. Click Save to save your new password. You will be directed back to the Login tab in your personal profile.
