Mobile Hiring Manager App Enhancements
The 17.3 Release includes improvements to the Mobile Hiring Manager App for recruiters who want to be notified when a candidate is reviewed in the app and easily monitor candidate reviews from the app on their Dashboard.
In-Platform Enhancements
Candidate Reviewed Notifications for Recruiters
When a hiring manager reviews a candidate in the app, an email notification will be sent to the recruiter on the job. By default, the email notification contains the name of the candidate, the job title, and the review decision and reason the hiring manager provided. Links to the candidate and job profiles are also provided. The content of the email notification can be configured via the
Review Message setting in System Configuration.
Notes:
- Customers who previously configured recipients for the Review Message have had their previous configurations overwritten in this release. The recipient for the notification is the recruiter listed on the job; additional or other recipients cannot be configured.
- The recruiter on the job is determined by the value in the Recruiter (jcf3023) field on the Detail Tab of the Job Profile.
- This notification cannot be disabled.
Mobile Feedback Dashboard Report
A new Dashboard Panel called Mobile Feedback and a new widget within that panel called Jobs with Pending Feedback from Mobile HM App are now available for user admins to add to users’ dashboards. By default, the new widget will show feedback details for candidates with pinned activity (e.g. a candidate review from the app) attached to jobs where the logged-in user is listed as the recruiter.
The search template providing results for this widget is a Recruiting Workflow search called “Pinned Activity.”
To add the panel and widget to a user group’s dashboard, follow the steps below:
- Navigate to Report > Manage Dashboards and expand the Dashboard list on the left side.
- Select Mobile Feedback from the list. Check off the groups to receive the panel in the Share With setting on the right side, then select Save on the top right.
- In the list on the left, expand Mobile Feedback. Select Jobs with Pending Feedback from Mobile HM App and configure the Share With settings as desired. Select Save & Exit on the top right.
Notes:
- To share the widget with a user group, the panel that houses the widget must first be shared to the group.
- Sharing a panel will not automatically share its widgets; the widgets need to be individually shared as well.
New Search Template for All Candidates
A new Recruiting Workflow search template has been added so hiring managers in the app can see candidates they have reviewed previously. The new template is called
Mobile Hiring Manager - All Candidates. The results of this search will, by default, show the hiring manager all candidates who have applied for their jobs, provided those jobs are not in the Closed folder. These results will display in the new All tab, released in Version 2.0.0 of the app.
Similarly, the
Mobile Hiring Manager – Candidates Recruiting Workflow search template has been renamed to
Mobile Hiring Manager – Unreviewed Candidates for customers who have not previously overwritten the search template.
For customers who previously overwrote the
Mobile Hiring Manager – Candidates search template, the template name is unchanged. Furthermore, the new
Mobile Hiring Manager – All Candidates template will have the same filters as their
Mobile Hiring Manager – Candidates template, excluding the
Mobile Hiring Manager Review Reason is
blank filter.
New Filters and Columns for Mobile Feedback
Candidates who have been reviewed in the mobile app can now be more easily searched for and reported on with additional filters and columns in Job and Recruiting Workflow searches.
Users running a Job search now have the option to add a “Has Associated Recruiting Workflow with pinned activity” filter to identify which jobs have associated recruiting workflows where an activity is pinned in the activity stream (e.g. the candidate has been reviewed by a hiring manager using the app and the activity has not yet been unpinned). “Has Associated Recruiting Workflow with pinned activity” is also available as a column and a group-by/sort-by in Job searches.
Users running a Recruiting Workflow search have the option to add a “Ha Pinned Activity” filter to identify which recruiting workflow profiles have a pinned activity in their activity stream. “Has Pinned Activity” is also available as a column and a group-by/sort-by in Recruiting Workflow searches.
In-App Enhancements
Shortly after the 17.3 Release, the iCIMS Mobile Hiring Manager App will release Version 2.0.0 to the iTunes App Store. The changes will be detailed in the
What’s New section of the app once the new version is released.
The expected updates for the app are also listed below:
- Call or email a candidate by tapping their phone number or their email address.
- Easily differentiate which jobs have candidates who need to be reviewed with a new section at the top of the Candidates by Job page.
- View all candidates who have applied to a specific job on the new All tab (previously the Details tab).
- Find job details by tapping the button to the right of the job title.
- Access information for candidates you previously reviewed on the All tab, and see your recorded review: a green Thumbs Up or a red Thumbs Down. Tap the colorized review button to see your previous review reason.
