Overview
Social Distribution, a feature of iCIMS Applicant Tracking (ATS), is an all-in-one tool that powers social recruiting across networks at all levels, from corporate to individual, and leverages multiple social recruiting approaches.
Once Social Distribution has been activated on your company's Facebook page (which is typically done during implementation), the company Facebook page admin can configure some aspects of the application.
By default, the Social Distribution app will display as a tab titled Job Openings with a default image on your company’s Facebook page. This tab can be renamed and given a new tab image by the company page admin using Facebook’s App settings, described below.
Important Note: Due to a change in Facebook policy, customers who have not activated the Job Openings tab on their company Facebook page prior to early 2018 may no longer enable this tab unless the page has more than 2,000 followers. Facebook no longer allows custom tabs to be added to company pages with fewer than 2,000 followers, including the Social Distribution Job tab.
Configuring the Social Distribution Tab on Your Company Facebook Page
Important Note: All steps below take place on the Facebook website and are subject to change.
- Log in to Facebook and use the search bar to locate your company’s Facebook page.
- Locate the Social Distribution Job Openings tab and app for future reference. (Note: The tab may be located under the See More menu on the left-hand side.)
- Click Settings, located at the top right of the page. Then, select Edit Page from the menu on the left.
- Locate Job Openings in the list of tabs and select the corresponding Settings button. From the expanded settings, select Edit Settings.
- Update the tab image, if desired, by selecting Change beside the Custom Tab Image label. (Note: This will open up a new page/tab in your browser.)
- Tip: If you do not what to update the tab image, skip to step 9.
- On the Upload a Custom Image page, hover over the current image and click Edit.
- Click Choose File on the popup, and then select an image matching Facebook’s specifications (111 x 74 pixels) from your computer.
- The page will refresh, displaying your new custom tab image. Close the Upload a Page Tab Image tab and navigate to the Edit Social Distribution Settings page, which should still be open in your browser.
- Next to Custom Tab Name, enter a new display name, if desired, and click Save. (Note: Leave this field blank to continue using the default name, Job Openings.)
- Click Okay on the Edit Social Distribution Settings popup.
- Revisit your company’s Facebook page to view the updated tab.
Note: If you no longer wish to use this tab, you can remove it from your organization's company Facebook page. To learn more, visit the
